Taught/ Taut is a night of performances dedicated to showcasing the works of emerging creatives throughout NYC. The title of the event, Taught/ Taut alludes to the threadline among each performance. Every piece is a meditation on learning movement, thought, or practice from a teacher or mentor. This can include inherited knowledge from unknown or known ancestors. Simultaneously, this performance series acknowledges and leans into the sometimes complicated or taut relationships and interactions between a teacher and a student.
